Accessibility Advisory Committee

THAT the following member be elected Chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee for 2024: - Shandell Conboy.

THAT the agenda for the Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting held on March 21, 2024 be approved as distributed.

THAT, further to the draft report DSE-24-01 dated February 14, 2024 regarding On- street Parking in the Downtown, the Accessibility Advisory Committee provides the following comments: • members generally preferred Option 1 • may measure success particularly through the summer • good to see the addition of the two accessible spaces

THAT the following meeting information and schedule be approved for the Accessibility Advisory Committee for 2024: Regular Day: Second Thursday of the month with the exception of July and December Time: 4:30 PM Location: Tudhope-McIntyre Boardroom, Orillia City Centre or as otherwise indicated on the agenda. Dates: • April 11 • May 9 • June 13 - followed by the Public Meeting to satisfy O. Reg 191/11 – Integrated Accessibility Standards • August 8 - including 2025 Budget matters • September 12 • October 10 • November 14 Page 2 of 3

THAT staff be directed to arrange for 3’x6’ flag(s) to be created and purchased using the new Access Orillia Logo and matching blue banding, subject to final review by Communications Division, with expenses approved in an amount not to exceed $225; AND THAT a flag raising and proclamation request be submitted for National Accessibility Week for May 26th to June 1, 2024; AND THAT the Committee request a deputation for the Council meeting scheduled Tuesday, May 21, subject to approval by the Mayor and Clerk; AND THAT staff create name tags on lanyards for all members.
